“Threads of Nature: Mixed Media Works” is a solo exhibit of works by Colleen Miller at the Lambertville Free Public Library. It showcases a collection of diverse artworks that explore the intersection of nature and creativity.
The closing reception is on Friday, February 9 from 4-6 pm at the library gallery, and it will provide an opportunity for attendees to meet the artist and engage in discussions about art.
This art exhibit feature various pieces that show how Colleen find connections to nature. “Threads of Nature” reflects the beauty, complexity, and interconnectedness of the natural world. Included are new works in from my studio on North Union Street in Lambertville.
Her mixed media art represents her view of nature and brings out its vibrancy as well as the many variations found in nature. Like a double-sided coin,the show includes realistic painting as well as intuitive painting methods and fabric-paper collages. Visitors can expect to encounter a range of artistic techniques, including painting on canvas and wood, as well as collage including vintage items, fabric, threads and ephemera.
“Threads of Nature: Mixed Media Works” will be wrapped up by Feb. 14, so this is the last chance to see the work before the show closes. The works were completed in 2023. And some of the newer works have not been shared on social media.
