I have been working on focusing my work. As all creative types do, I like to try this and that. Dabble in this, buy supplies for that. Taking classes in random things. While this is quite fun and energizing, I realized it is not getting me where I want to be. I want to produce a body of work, and that means a bunch of output that is connected and cohesive.
I selected printmaking as a focus this year. I have been doing lots of mixed media this past year, 2015, and I have photos to share. But I thought for the New Year, I would share these two that make me quite happy.
One expansion in my printmaking is adding lines, squiggles, dots and so on, after the print is dry. I think the extra lines and marks add depth and a finish.
Here are two I have framed and given as gifts.
