I am on the team organizing a new group, called Community Arts. We are working to bring community artists together with Homefront artists for creative exploration and fun.
Our first event is a “Printmaking Workshop” by Kandy Lippincott, which will be held at HomeFront’s Family Campus in Ewing on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 6-8PM.
This is the first “Artists Teaching Artists” workshop presented by “Community Arts”, a new arts group bringing Central NJ artists of all disciplines together with artists living at HomeFront’s Ewing campus, for a fun evening of interactive learning and art exploration. Organized by artists — Ellen McGuff Silverman, Janis Blayne Paul and myself –Community Arts will offer art experiences monthly on the first Monday, including “Artists Teaching Artists” workshops and Open Studio experiences.
The workshop, located in HomeFront’s ArtSpace studio, is open to all area artists – class participants can be absolute beginners or skilled printmakers!
The workshop leader, J. Kandy Lippincott, is a retired art teacher from the Camden City public school district. An enthusiastic arts educator, she continues to teach art workshops to small groups.
Participation is $20 per person : $10 for the artist and $10 which will “sponsor” a Homefront Artist.
There are a limited number of slots available. Check in time is 5:45 p.m., with the session starting at 6 p.m.
